Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics
Welcome to the department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics.
We teach mathematics and mathematical statistics to a wide range of students from college level to PhD level. The following programs are closely connected to the research activities at the department:
- Bachelor of Science in Physics and Applied Mathematics (Swedish information), 180 ECTS
- Master in Computational Science and Engineering, 120 ECTS
- Master of Science in Engineering and Management (Swedish information), 300 ECTS.
We conduct active research in four salient domains:
- Computational mathematics
- Discrete mathematics
- Mathematical modeling
- Mathematical statistics.
In addition to the four research areas above, individual researchers are also working in complex analysis, mathematical analysis and mathematical didactics.
